Our apartment is located in the Vedado neighborhood of La Habana, Cuba. Located only a short taxi ride (or half hour scenic walk) from Old Havana, Vedado is a quiet and safe district made up of tree-lined streets and beautiful mansions that were built in the first half of the 20th century when Cuba was a major attraction for U.S. tourists.
Much more recently, Vedado represents the principal commercial and cultural area of Havana with many important landmarks including El Malecon, La Rampa, Hotel Nacional, Fábrica de Arte Cubano (the #1 music and art venue in Havana), The University of Havana, The National Theater of Cuba and The Colón Cemetery.
We are located in a central part of Havana near major transportation routes that can get you anywhere in the city in short time.
Getting Here by Car
From Jose Marti International Airport, take Avenida (Avenue) Rancho Boyeros all the way into the city (north about 10km) until you reach a round-about marked with a shiny fountain (Bidet de Paulina). Round it and take Avenida 26 northwest. After a couple of kilometers, it will turn into Calle (or road) 26. Continue on this road until you reach Calle 17. Make a right and travel on Calle 17 until you reach Calle 20. Make another right just past the intersection and you have arrived at our apartment.
Getting Here by Taxi
Taxi is the easiest way to reach Havana and our apartment from the airport. Make sure to have our address available so that you may show it to the taxi driver. He will know how to drive you to our place. The closest main intersection to our apartment is Avenida 23 and Calle 26. Contact us in advance to arrange a pick-up taxi service from the airport. The half-hour ride costs 30 CUC.
